Reverend Moses D. Anderson
 
 The son of Ms. Savannah Anderson, Reverend Moses D. Anderson is a native of Welch, West Virginia and the sixth of eight children.   After completing his elementary and secondary education, Reverend Anderson enlisted in the United Stated Army where he served 13½ years.
 
         On February 7, 1988, Reverend Anderson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  He joined New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and began an exciting journey.  From 1988 until 1999, Reverend Anderson served the Zion Hill Church Family in many capacities to include: Trustee, Trustee Chairman, Vice President for the Missionary Ministry, Youth Advisor, Choir President, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Coordinator/Teacher, and Outreach Coordinator.  In addition, he participated in Deacon training, organized the Male Chorus, and was instrumental in the organization of the Young Adult Ensemble.
 
        In the community, Reverend Anderson has worked in several arenas of the prison ministry, He was a Fellowship Instructor at the Chuck Collison Prison, He's in Youth (boys and girls) Correction Facility Ministry, Community Outreach, Youth Outreach, Nursing Home Ministry, In-Home Teaching Ministry, and Ministry to families of prisoners. He is a Georgia Baptist Convention 10th District Missionary Trainer, he also serves a Assistant Advisor to the Ushers Union of Georgia, International certified Christian leadership instructor 2014 elected vice president Baptist ministers conf. Of Augusta

       On November 21, 1993, Reverend Anderson preached his initial sermon.  Academically, Reverend Anderson has a degree in Business Data Processing from Phillips Junior College, three Diplomas in Christian Counseling from the American Association of Christian Counseling of which he is also a member.  Reverend Anderson have completed the Pastor Alternative Teaching Course and is a Certified Christian Leadership School Instructor.  He has numerous courses in evangelism, prison ministry, gang awareness, Christian training, and Theology.  In 1999, he received a diploma of Theology from the American Baptist Seminary.
 
       On January 13, 2000, Reverend Anderson was called to Pastor the First Ebenezer Baptist Church of Hephzibah, Georgia.  In the years that Reverend Anderson has been at Historic First Ebenezer Baptist Church, many have come by baptism, Christian experience, and restoration.

Reverend Anderson and his wife, Denise, have been married for 40 years and are the blessed parents of a daughter, Monique and a grandson Kyros W. Parkman.  Reverend Anderson truly believes and lives by Proverbs 3:5 & 6, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
