I recently joined my husband in service at Historic First Ebenezer Baptist Church under the direction of Reverend Moses Anderson.  In 1993, while serving at Beulah Grove Baptist Church, I was called by the Holy Spirit to teach the children in Sunday School and Bible Study, and help develop the Children's Added Member Orientation.  Seeking a better way to teach the children, in 2003 I began attending Bible Study Fellowship, an internationally-known non-denominational organization that teaches the Word of God through a 7-year study. While learning more about His Word, I was invited to teach in the Children's Program.  I also coordinated several of Beulah Grove's Annual Marriage Retreats (1994-1998), and provided Christian Counseling for young adults during my time of service (1991-2005).  From 2006-2009, I assisted Bishop Kenneth T. Clay of New Creation Christian Church with organizing his ministry.  There I served as an Elder, the Senior Director of Leadership, and Youth Minister.
I am a graduate of Lucy Laney and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.  I received my Master’s in Social Work in 2003 from the University of South Carolina.  I have been employed at the VA Medical Center since 1991 and the Lord has expanded my territory. I am currently developing a new program at the VA called the Medical Foster Home Program, an out-patient program designed to provide an alternative to nursing home and assisted living.
Jesus Christ is the head of my life.  Every day I ask Him to teach me how to live a life that is pleasing to God.  My desire is to maintain a Christ-centered lifestyle by practicing the presence of God daily so that lives will be changed and God will be glorified.  I enjoy teaching, encouraging, and influencing people to discover the Truth about Jesus.  My life is not my own, I have been bought for a very high price.  My mission statement comes from
 Luke 4:18,19
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me and I have been called to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom for prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. To God be the glory."

Favorite passage of scripture is Ephesians 2:4-8: "But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

"Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  For you did not receive a spirit that
makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.
And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."
