Vision Statement
Greeting in the Name of Jesus,
It is my time to write the vision that God has laid on my heart for the ministry. However I must start by saying Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You for your support over these last 10 years. Your willingness to allow God to use me to teach, lead, and serve you has allowed us to reach great heights in service to this community.

In looking at where God has brought us to, I now see more direction to enable us to meet the needs of this present age and move us forward into future success. This will only be accomplished by your surrendered service and sacrifice to the work, will, and most importantly the Word of God.

Vision Breakdown:
•Moving from internal ministry to external ministry
We have been trained for 10 years it is time to put the training into action
Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

•Moving from spectators to participants
We must start becoming a church ministry as opposed to just a few people doing all
                              the work.
Luke 9:23, "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

•Moving to a sacrificial church ministry
Time - Ephesians 5:16, "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."

Talent- Matthew 25:14-29, "And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and
was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.  And
when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place,
and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may  in the
villages, and buy themselves victuals.  But Jesus said unto them, They need
not depart; give ye them to eat.  And they say unto him, We have here but
five loaves, and two fishes.  He said, Bring them hither  to .
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five
loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake,
and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.  And
they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that
remained twelve baskets full.  And they that had eaten were about five
thousand men, beside women and children.  And straightway Jesus
constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto
the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.  And when he had sent the
multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the
evening was come, he was there alone.  But the ship was now in the midst of
the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.  And in the fourth
watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.  And when the
disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a
spirit; and they cried out for fear.   But straightway Jesus spake unto them,
saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.  And Peter answered him and
said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.  And he said,
Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the
water, to go to Jesus.

Treasures (Act 4:32-37)
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was
his own; but they had all things common.  And with great power gave the
apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was
upon them all.  Neither was there any among them that lacked:  for as many
as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the priceof
things that were sold, and laid them down at the apostles' feet: and
distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.  And Joses,
who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted,
The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, having land,
sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

I understand that these three areas don’t seem to be very visionary, but us we are to excel in these areas, we will see God Move in a powerful way. We will see homes put back together, lives impacted through Christian living, abundance throughout the congregation and God being glorified in this community. In a simple request, I ask each member of Historic First Ebenezer Baptist Church to prepare himself/herself to do that which God has commanded us that we can allow God to do what He said
.
Finally my brothers and sister, this vision as simple as it seems will allow us to make full proof of the ministry and the resources that we presently have and place us in the position to receive blessings that we will not have room to receive.

My prayer to God and hope for you is that you would be willing to following me even as I follow Christ. As always remember Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) and God will richly bless us all.

Expecting Great Things,
Reverend Moses D. Anderson, Pastor
